Vastu for east, west, north and south facing plots
Many families in Telangana and across India like to plan their home with Vastu in mind. The planner overlays the Vastu zones on your real plot or on the buildable house area, so you can see where each room would fall before you meet an architect.
Commonly followed zone guidance
- North-east: often kept light and open; commonly preferred for the pooja room or entrance.
- South-east: traditionally associated with fire; commonly preferred for the kitchen.
- South-west: commonly preferred for the master bedroom and heavier structures.
- North-west: often used for guest rooms, utility or storage.
Entry by plot facing
East, west, north and south facing plots can all be planned well. The planner marks the ideal entry zone for your facing, so you can place the gate and main door accordingly.
Vastu is shown as general guidance. Interpretations vary, so discuss the final layout with your family and your architect or Vastu consultant.
Questions
Which facing plot is best as per Vastu?
Each facing can be planned well. What matters most is placing the entry, kitchen, bedrooms and open spaces in suitable zones, which the planner shows for your plot.
Where should the kitchen be in an east-facing house?
The south-east zone is the commonly preferred kitchen position in Vastu guidance, with north-west as a common alternative. Check the zones on your own plot in the planner.
Can I see Vastu zones on my own plot?
Yes. Open the planner, enter your plot and tap Vastu to see the zones on the whole plot or on the house area.
